Hunt Story
When I got to work Monday morning, I checked my Spartan cell cam photos from my phone. This buck showed up on one of the food plots I was also baiting with corn at 7:45 a.m. Hadn’t had a picture of him since summer time. My wife was out of town, so I went ahead and arranged to take my youngest son Jack to the ground blind I had set up in this spot. We had a NE wind which worked for the direction it looked like the buck was coming in from and stand location. We were set up in blind at 3:45 and didn’t see a deer until this buck walked out right before dark. Jack was ready and once he was on him with the scope the deer was broadside and I told him to take the shot. He made a great shot and the deer fell dead before he got off the food plot.
