Hunt Story
I took my 13-year-old son on the Riverbend WMA Adult Child Hunt on the 29th of October. Before daylight we were walking in and a deer blew and ran off. We sat down right there and waited until it got light enough to see and got up and walked to where we decided to sit. It was real slow so I took out my Primos Estrous can and hit it 2 different times hoping we would see something. About 8:45 a.m. I caught a glimpse of something which I thought was a squirrel and looked through my binoculars and there he stood on Hudson's side where he was supposed to be looking lol. The buck looked our way and I told Hudson to just be still and he did. The buck circled us downwind and gave Hudson less than a 50-yard shot. He ran less than 50. We knew he made a Great Shot but before we got up we said a prayer and thanked God and for him to help us find him. He sure answered our prayer!!!
