Hunt Story
I was hunting in thinned pines where a prescribed burn had been done in March, 2018. Shooting lanes had been been created in the tall summer growth of weeds. I heard a commotion and immediately observed a doe running with a buck in hot pursuit. My first thought was to let this buck walk until i realized he was a nice ten pointer. He stopped behind my stand momentarily and then continued to chase the doe - he stopped once again and gave me clear shot. He ran 40 yards and dropped and was easily found and recovered.
