Hunt Story

It was a very still afternoon until I saw movement in the far corner of the field. Filled with excitement to finally see antlers coming through the trees, I was disappointed to see large 4-pointer. Shortly after, a 6-pointer appeared on the same trail. Both were grazing in the food plot, more movement followed by a tall-tined 8-pointer. Placing the deer into my scope, I was eager to get a shot. As the 8-pointer moved further broadside into the field, the shot lined up perfectly. I took the shot, and he dropped in his tracks. Excited to see the buck in person, I was going to wait until closer to dawn before getting down. As I waited for dawn, I noticed a second buck under my stand. The 9-pointer walked right passed me toward two does that were already in the field. The 9-pointer chased the does for a few seconds. As I started to stand up to get the buck in my crosshair, he stood in the field with a quartering-away shot. Pulling the trigger, I watched the 9-pointer fall and I was in complete awe of what had happened on this evening. The opportunity to harvest two bucks, 30 minutes apart, that I have been watching on camera was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I was blessed with.
