Hunt Story
I hadn't had any day time pictures yet. But on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, I had that "feeling" so I went by and checked one of my cameras on my lunch break. BINGO! I had a 7:30 pm picture on Sunday and a 7:20 pm picture on Tuesday. I got off work at 4:00 pm and was in the stand by 4:30 pm. At about 6:40 pm, I saw my 1st deer out in the JUNGLE. I kept seeing bits and pieces of deer for the next 30 minutes. At 7:15, I had two small bucks come by and even lock antlers for a little shoving match and then all got quiet. Finally, at 7:20 pm, I had that "feeling" and scanned the JUNGLE with my binoculars even though I could only see about 75 yards—GOTCHA. Some antlers were coming down the same trail the two small bucks had walked. At 20 yards and still in the thicket, he stopped and stood, turned around to go back, but then veered just enough off the trail so I had a small opening. I love the "SWACK" of the 100 grain swacker. I knew it was too thick in the woods so I called Pat Cleveland and his dog to come find him. We found him less than 200 yards away. PTL
