Hunt Story
I was in planted pines and a new spot to me. The underbrush had grown tremendously since last year in this area. All I saw were horns going through the brush 260 yards away. I did doe bleats and he would stop but then continue. I did a buck grunt and he turned toward me. I did another grunt and he started walking toward me. Couple times I lost sight of him in the thick but I would grunt again. I finally did a snort wheeze and he came straight in. I pulled my .44 Redhawk desiring to make a pistol kill. As he came in he moved downwind and appeared at 22 yards. As I pulled the hammer back he winded me bolting out to 50 yards. I then pulled up my M77 Ruger 300 win mag and dropped him where he stood.
