I picked up a doe and a yearling at 125 feet through thick trees. He was slowly following but not pushing. I could barley make out the rack but I knew he was my #1 or #2 target bucks. I grunted and rattled but he continues to follow the doe. I never had a clear view of the rack. When I lost sight, I aggressively rattled and grunted. I did this three times over the 45 minutes. The doe eventually returned and he was still following. An hour after first seeing him, I finally saw the complete rack and he was my #2 buck. I had the scope on him for about 5 minutes when he finally presented a shot at 50 yards. He ran about 20 yards and piled up in front of me. Best hunt ever.
