Hunt Story

Left house late around 6:40 putting me walking to stand after daylight. Scared deer off walking in. Went in with intent to shoot doe and after about an hour and half deer started trickling in. Some small bucks and does were bumping around all underneath me for about 15 minutes before deer I shot came running In. My effective range with recurve is about 0-20 yards so I had to watch him 25-30 yards for almost 30 minutes before he came within range. he actually left area and came back 3x’s before he finally came in range. He sparred with another young 8 point then bumped some does that ended up running behind me and smelling me making every deer in area alert. I had to draw quick and my arrow landed pretty high but proved to be fatal. He died within 20 yards of where I shot him. It was An awesome feeling to have taken him with my traditional bow.
