Hunt Story

It was a morning hunt and the first time Gavin had ever hunted in a climber. He was hunting with his grandpa and was super excited! They saw a few other deer that morning and then it started pouring rain. They carefully climbed down from the tree and were packing up to change to a stand with cover when this buck stepped out. It was a bit of a scramble to put on the ear muffs and grab the gun all while staying out of sight and remaining quiet. Gavin got steady and made a free-handed shot. The buck kicked his legs back and ran off. He was hit! After several hours of impatiently waiting, Gavin, his family, and Lucy the Texas Lacy, trailed the deer about 300 yards and recovered him. Gavin and grandpa were thrilled!
