Hunt Story
I’ve had trail-cam pics of the deer for a couple months now, but all of the pictures were at night. With the hurricane coming through last week I knew that it would be a good time to get in the stand because the weather had slacked off and I figured the deer would be moving. I saw a total of 9 deer on this hunt, a doe and two yearling and six bucks, the one that I killed being the biggest! The buck I killed was in a bachelor group and they all came in around 7:20 p.m. I watched the deer come in for approximately 10 minutes before I made a 12-yard shot with my Mathews DXT! He ran approximately 80 yards and piled up. He’s my biggest deer to date and the first buck I ever killed with my bow!
