Hunt Story
The landowner of the property I was hunting on called to tell me that he had seen a nice-sized buck on his property. I hunted the land for two weeks before I saw the deer. I first missed it by hitting a tree limb, but on a different day I had another opportunity. I made the shot at about 5:00 p.m., but I wasn’t sure if it was a good shot. I waited until the next day and tracked the deer about 1,000 yards with my friend, Craig Butler, before we found him.
