About 8:45 a.m., I noticed a group of deer to my right, but it was too thick to tell what they were, about 80 yards away. Then the buck walked out in to the powerline at 70 yards, and I made a perfect shoulder shot. The buck ran about 100 yards. My father made me wait 45 minutes until he got there to look for him.
