We had been trying to get on this deer for several days. A basket 8 came out and spooked off. A few minutes later we realized it was because of the thick 8 in the vicinity. Fisher shot him with his 30-30 high shoulder. He took off. No blood. We stumbled on him buried up in a log pile.
