Hunt Story

Me, dad and my twin brother were hunting in a box blind on a food plot overlooking a hardwood bottom when my dad heard a limb break behind us and looked behind us and saw the buck. He then grabbed the rifle, handed it to me and said “shoot it!” My dad stopped the buck 4 different times at 75 yards for me to shoot but he stopped behind a tree every time. Finally he cleared and my dad stopped him again, by then I was shaking the whole stand! When I shot I knew I was on him and hit him good, he only went 75 yards. The gun I chose to use that day was my poppy’s deer rifle who passed away in 2018, it meant a lot to me to shoot this buck with his rifle. It’s my biggest buck so far, my dad put me and my brothers picture in GON last year with our last year bucks.
