Hunt Story
I climbed in stand about 4 p.m. At 4:45 buck walked out in a road bottom and I shot him. Buck ran about 30 yards and I retrieved him. I am sending this not because it is a big buck because it is not. I had a European mount done by Casteels Taxidermy and he showed me the deer has an upper canine. I have hunted all my life and have talked to a lot of life time deer hunters, and they like myself did not know anything about canine teeth in deer. I thought I might make a good informational piece in magazine to educate hunters about deer with upper canines. From what little I have read it is rare to find one.
