Hunt Story
My son and I got out to our stand around 4:00. It was cold and rainy, and even though we were in a covered stand, the wind was blowing rain in on us. Evan said he got chills and had a feeling a buck was about to show up. Around 5:30, Evan noticed the buck come into view on our right and just as quickly, he went into the thicket. I told him to watch for the buck to come back out into the food plot further down. A couple minutes later he appeared and made his way into the food plot. Evan quickly put the crosshairs on him, slightly quartering away and dropped him in his tracks at around 100 yards. This was his third buck, and second wall hanger as well as second ever Truck-Buck entry. I'm a very proud dad! He's a great shot, cool under pressure, and a selective hunter. This is his first deer since his last Truck-Buck deer two years ago.
