Hunt Story
Got in the stand at 4:45. Was eating some crackers when my friend I was hunting with let off a shot behind me in the creek bottom. I texted him, and he said it was a small buck. I thought dang it's too early for me to get down now. About 10 minutes goes by and I hear a grunt. My heart starts to jump. A doe walks out to my right and crosses the food plot and continues out of sight. I think I know that's not what I heard. So I hit my grunt call twice. About 2 minutes later I see the deer I've been getting on cam poke his head out of the thick mess in front of me. I start shaking but get it together to let him come completely out into the open. With the sun in my eyes I get him in the crosshairs and squeeze. He goes down instantly. This was the coolest pre-birthday present.
