Hunt Story
Father, son, daughter hunting together on a family farm in Toombs County, got into the stand around 4:30 p.m. Nine-year-old Ella Beth Cox missed an 8-point buck around 5:30 p.m. We watched a few does and a 4-point before grunting and having the 6-point come straight to our stand. Around 6:30 p.m. a doe was about 80 yards away blowing, and as she ran off, two bucks appeared behind her at the edge of the wood line. One buck stayed in the woods while an 8-point buck walked down the road toward us. The buck walked to within 40 yards and then Ella Beth made a lethal shot.
