Hunt Story
This is Elizabeth, and this was my first solo kill! I took my little Boston terrier with me because I didn't really think that anything would show up. I was hunting in our blind in our food plot, so I got my dog and myself settled in and just sat there waiting! This deer came out in broad daylight and I was about to have a heart attack because when I saw him come out I KNEW he was my biggest deer by far. I brought my gun up (224 Valkyrie), and got ready. Turned off the safety, finger on the trigger came up his leg, and let the gun surprise me. He dropped right where I shot him, so when I turned my safety back on and sat back, I couldn't even feel my hands I was so excited and happy!
