Hunt Story
Walking in the wind was great for the spot we was hunting. I had been seeing the deer coming out of a swamp below us and working their way up to some white oaks that was heavy with acorns. We set up in the edge of some ivys over looking the swamp to where we could still see the acorns. About 5:45 p.m. the wind changed and I figured it would mess us up but about 6:30 p.m. I caught movement coming out of the swamp. I could tell it was a good deer. I told Easton to get ready and when he cleared the ivys below us coming to the white oaks to stop him, and slowly squeeze off. He stopped him and dropped him in his tracks. The 350 Legend did a number on him. Easton's shot placement was perfect. This was his eighth deer but by far the biggest deer to date. The best part was when he called his papa (my dad) he told him that he has the best hunting guide ever. That made me so proud that he thinks I'm that good. This is what hunting is all about. Keep them outdoors!
