Hunt Story
We got in the stand around 6:00 p.m., and at approximately 6:15 a spike and fork horn came out and fed for a few minutes, we could hear other deer in the woods around us but couldn't see them. Around 6:30 a nice 10-pointer stepped out in range but was very nervous and didn't stay long enough to get a proper shot. E was very disappointed!!! But she stayed patient and around 7:40 a doe stepped out and began feeding, she was also very nervous and kept looking into the woods. Within a minute he stepped out and ran her off. He was 30 yards out and E was able to shoulder the crossbow without being seen. He turned broadside and she made a perfect heart shot. He ran approximately 75 yards and we heard him crash!! The hugs and celebrations started! There is nothing better in this world as a dad than to be able to Hunt with your children and experience the sheer joy that comes from the woods and a successful hunt. This was her first-ever bow kill.
