Hunt Story
Have had pictures of this buck since June, but he disappeared about a week before bow season came in. Then a few weeks ago I started getting pictures of him again, so I went and sat one afternoon after work and saw him about 400 yards across the field fighting with an 8-point. Hadn't seen him since except on camera. Saturday morning was very foggy. At times I could only see about 80 yards. I had seen a solo doe about 15 minutes after light, and then around 7:45 I heard something running toward me in the hardwood mix. A doe bust out into the clearcut, and he was behind her running full speed chasing her. I knew it was him immediately and tried to stop him, but he could care less about any noise I made trying to stop him, so I had to shoot him running at about 150 yards. He dropped like a rock and didn't move, so I climbed down and went to recover him.
