Hunt Story
This was a deer me and my 15-year-old son had been watching on cameras for two years. We were hunting about 1,000 yards apart that day I shot him. I regretted having passed on an estimated 140-inch 8-pointer earlier during am hunt. I even tried to get my son to switch stands with me, but he chose the open field for his evening hunt. At 5:15 the deer appeared between pines and hardwood transition area following close behind a doe. I had a small opening and made the shot. I’m so blessed to have experienced this with my son. He was more excited than I was ( I think).
