Hunt Story

I began getting pictures of this deer in late July. He was a homebody and had a very tight summer range on our property. Around the start of bow season he expanded his home range and I stopped getting pictures of him. We put in a food plot and moved a stand into an area we thought he may be living. It wasn\'t until around the 19th of October that he started showing up again, and then on October 25th I got my first daylight photo in almost a month and a half. I had a good wind on the 6th of November and eased in around 4:30 to hunt the food plot. Around 5:45, I had a spike come out to feed and he was acting very nervous. He continually kept looking over his shoulder. Shortly thereafter, I heard heavy footsteps in a thicket leading into the plot. The spike immediately trotted off and that\'s when this buck entered the plot. He was at 10 yards and I immediately recognized him from the pictures all summer. At the shot, he ran 20 yards and expired.
