I was hunting in a Pine/Hardwood mix area on my property where there were rubs/scrapes throughout. It is very thick in the area and there is a narrow shooting lane on one side and a small open area on the other. This deer showed up in the wooded area where there are scrapes and rubs. He charged in moving very quickly but stopped and started looking around and he was acting very timid. He was walking away from me so I did not have a clear shot for about three minutes. He finally turned where he was quartering away from me but there was a clear shot. He was 65 yards away and I fired my new Henry 360 Buckhammer Rifle. He dropped in his tracks. He was the target buck for the year and I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.
