Hunt Story

I placed my stand in thicket on creek bottom. Few white oaks and water oaks scattered through the bottom. Had previous pics of the deer near the area, knew it had to be his bedding area. I got in the stand plenty of time before daylight and sat for little while with no movement. After 8:30 I decided to lightly hit my rattling horns together. About 5-10 minutes went by small doe and yearling ease through eating acorns. Couple minutes after that I heard crashing and saw top of tree going crazy. Was super thick where I was hunting, only opening happened to be at bottom of the same tree. I pulled my binoculars up and saw it was the big buck I was after. I knew it was the only chance I was going to get, if he took two steps I wouldn't of gotten a clean shot. I slowly pulled my rifle up, got steady and fired off a shot dropping him in his tracks. It was all excitement, high fives, and thanking the good lord for the opportunity after that.
