Hunt Story

Set up on a point across a little valley from a clearcut. Wind was perfect, blowing in my face. Saw movement about 150 yards away at the edge of the clearcut. It was very thick, could not make out whether it was a buck or doe. After about 5 to 10 minutes I no longer saw any movement, figured the deer had gone into the clearcut and I would not see the deer again. After about 10 minutes, I saw movement again and realized the deer was moving away from the clearcut and possibly would offer a shot. Picked him up in the scope and saw antlers, and then he went behind a tree. Put the scope on an opening just past the tree, and when he stepped into the opening he stopped. I squeezed the trigger and saw him drop. Waited about 15 minutes and walked toward the spot I had marked
