Hunt Story
My mom and I were hunting together at west box on Thursday, November 26th, Thanksgiving evening. I have been hunting for three years, and I haven’t gotten my first buck yet!! I was shooting a 708 rifle. A buck came out across the creek, but my mom thought it was too far and she wouldn’t let me shoot it. Shooting hours were about five minutes from being over when a nice 7-point came out behind us. My mom asked me if I could see it in my scope. I excitedly said yes!!!! It was a long shot! 200 yards, but my mom let me take it. I shot and saw that I had hit the deer! We waited a few minutes more. It was dark by now! We got out our flashlights and went to look for blood! We couldn’t find any blood. We called my dad and my big brother to help us find it! Our dog Molly helped us find deer. She jumped off the buggie, ran off the foot plot 20 yards and went right to my deer!!!! I was SO HAPPY!!!!!!!
