Hunt Story

My Dad was with me in a stand on this hunt. We saw a couple smaller deer behind us, and a doe came by running with a small buck chasing her. Then I heard a grunt again, and the 8-point was on the same trail as the other deer. My Dad grunted at the deer, and he looked our way then proceeded to come in to 60 yards and turned broadside, then I shot. The deer mule kicked, went down, then got up and was walking away, so I shot again and knocked the deer down. Then he got up and was walking away twitching his tail, then disappeared into the brush. We left the stand and headed to the house and waited an hour and half before going back to retrieve the deer. We found the deer 25 yards from where he was last shot.
