Hunt Story
The day prior to this hunt I was walking in about 3:00. As I got about 10 yards from my ground blind, this tall and wide buck darted out and ran into the thick pines to my right. I sat and waited for him to come back but another 5-pointer showed up right before dark that I decided to take instead. The next day I figured I would go in a little earlier in hopes of catching that tall and wide buck coming back through. So I got in the ground blind about 1:30 in the afternoon. I kept hearing faint grunting over in the pines that he ran into the day before, which I would reply to with my Primos can call. Finally about 4:40 I could see a tall rack coming through the pines, and I was pretty sure it was that same deer I had jumped the day before. I got my rifle ready and he stepped out and would only present a neck shot. I waited for him to step out so that I could place it behind his shoulder for a bit, but decided to take him with the neck shot which dropped him.
