Hunt Story
I got to the stand about 30 minutes early, got settled in and the bucks came in to feed. I could not see them clearly, it was too early and dark. The bucks left, and I waited about 10 minutes, grunted twice and the bucks came in from my right from some really thick brush. I could not get a good shot. I waited about 10 to 15 minutes and I grunted again. I heard something behind me. I turned and the big buck came in from my left below me. I used a bleat to stop the buck. I then shot the buck high in the shoulder watched him for about 30 yards, then he stopped. I waited to see if he would lay down. I got out of the stand went back to the house to wait for him to expire. When I went back to check, the buck had moved, so I went back to the house got my dog (greyhound) and he took me straight to the thick brush where the buck had laid down.
