Hunt Story
This was Deacon's first buck. While hunting with his Papa, he was able to harvest the deer with his .243 hunting from his Pop's (great grandfather who passed just before Deacon was born) box stand that his Pop, Papa and I built in 2001. I was just 50 yards or so away hunting with my daughter Paisley when he shot. I think she was just as excited for him as I was! He was also proud to say he was wearing his lucky hat! His Papa is pictured with him below.
