Hunt Story
On Nov. 17, 2020 in Pike County, I had just climbed into my stand a little late — right at sunrise. Frost was on the ground. From my stand I could tell a deer had already walked through the frosted food plot. Of course, I could not tell which direction the deer was headed. Just 20 minutes later the buck appeared on the same trail and was headed in my direction. At about 15 yards I shot, and the deer ran into the woods and fell. That was it! This is my first entry in into the Truck-Buck Contest. I have subscribed to GON since the late 1980s and am looking forward to many more issues! Thank you.
