Hunt Story
My son and I had let this buck walk several times last year as a 130ish 10-pointer. He walked off so much we nicknamed him Walker. On this hunt, I had placed a little buck lure in a food plot and walked through it, reaching the stand at about 4:20pm. At 4:40 the buck walked into the plot at 150 yards and began to smell and follow my trail away from me. When he stopped he was quartering away, and I shot for his first rib. He lept into the thick stuff around the plot. I waited 30 minutes and went to the plot, finding no sign at all of a hit. I eased into the thick brush and found him laying 25 yards away. The bullet didn’t exit and there was no blood at all.
