Hunt Story
I was hunting a ridge that deer like to travel in years past. There is a stand of 5-year-old long leaf that deer bed in behind my stand. I am hunting a big ten in the area, but this deer showed up instead. He came out of the pines onto this ridge with his noise on the ground. I reached down to get binoculars when he picked his head up and I new he was a shooter. I stopped him just before he went over the ridge and shot him at about 85 yards. He ran 75 yards and piled up.
