I had a morning off of work so decided to go to for a morning hunt. Met one of my friends once I got there we talked a bit. We split up, I went one way and he went the other. It was barely legal light and a small buck came out first and then this big guy came behind him from the thicket. I was turned wrong in my hunting saddle and had to freeze They spotted me but never spooked. They went away from me and behind a bush and stepped out on the other side circling back around me. They were a little further away this time but I was ready and shot. It took us a while to recover him as it was so thick but he only ran about 80 yards. I was so pumped when I walked up and saw how big he was. Me and my buddy had a celebration when we found him. I was running a trail camera in the area and never got a picture of him.
