I had pictures of this buck all summer in the vicinity where I shot him, but hadn't had him on my camera for over a month. I had seen a small 8-point and a spike in the clearcut I was hunting early in my hunt. Then, later I noticed a doe walking a side hill in the clearcut heading toward a small food plot. About 1 minute later, I noticed another deer was following her trail. I immediately took out my binoculars and confirmed it was my target buck. He was behind a tree making a rub, so I waited for him to step into opening and then made the 150 yd shot. He dropped in his tracks.
