Hunt Story
I was hunting with my daughter a few days before when he stepped out. My daughter has been waiting on a big 8 we’ve been hunting and didn’t want to use her last tag on him, so he got a pass. After discussing it with her, I elected to take him myself if he returned. On Wednesday afternoon he stepped out at last light checking does that were in the field. I made a good shot, but apparently didn’t give him enough time and jumped him 10 yards off edge of the field. I chose to back out and trail him the next morning. It didn’t take long, he only ran 30 yards and bedded back down.
