I was sitting a stand in a creek bottom that overlooked a couple of large water oak trees that were dropping. At daybreak had a doe and yearling feed through, then around 8:30 a doe came slipping along the reed cane. I had my T/C Encore pointed in her direction and watched behind her. Then this buck stepped out from a pawpaw tree thicket, the doe turned and ran. The buck immediately turned to run after her, I shot, and when the smoke cleared he was laying 15 yards away from where he was standing!!!!
