Hunt Story
I have been on this lease for 2 years, getting cam pics of grouped bucks on my feeder (5 at a time). This 9-pointer was one of my target bucks, it was just a matter of time and temperature to pattern him. It was 35° this morning going to the blind (thank God for my big buddy heater), around 8 am a 7-pointer came in on me sniffing the doe scent I put out, I've seen him before and let him walk. So, I was enjoying watching him and I heard a twig snap, out of my left window I saw big boy walk through. He looked dead at me, but his nose caught the scent. He moved forward to the scrape, sniffed the ground. He lifted his head to smell the scent wick and I pulled the trigger. He stumbled 5 feet and hit the ground- end.
