We went to hunt a food plot beside a big pond the afternoon after Christmas. Once we got to the stand we checked our cameras and noticed this buck a few hundred yards away at a scrape. We have never seen this buck before and settled in the stand with hopes he would head our way. We got in the stand quickly and about 5 minutes later he came out of the woods and passed through. My son got set up and ready and sure enough he came to one of the 4 strip plots on this spot. He stood there and presented a great broadside shot and my son made a terrific shot. We watched him run down the edge and into the bottom area beside the big pond. I knew he was hit good but we waited an hour to walk in and find him piled up less than 15 yards from where he ran in. Quick measurements were 4.5" bases and 24" main beam length!
