Hunt Story
Cole was hunting over Thanksgiving break at our lease in Greene County. This was his first day solo hunting - his Dad dropped him off in his box blind then went to sit with Cole's little brother in another stand. Cole had already shot a doe that morning and was ready again when this big 10 point walked out just at 5pm. The deer came from hardwoods/planted pines and made his way out to the food plot where Cole had to wait several minutes for a decent broadside shot. He double lunged the deer and after sending out a text to the rest of the hunters on the property he patiently waited for us to join him as he followed the blood trail and recovered the buck. The deer was found only 40-50 yards from where the shot took place, Cole made a really accurate and ethical shot on this deer.
