Hunt Story
Colwyn helped his dad hurry to get done with the chores so they could go deer hunting. With 45 minutes left of legal shooting time, they settled in. They knew their chances were limited with it being so late. They were settled in the stand for 15 minutes when they caught movement in the woods. Colwyn got ready, it was a big buck! It stepped out at 30 yards. Colwyn only being 6 years old was not tall enough to prop off the double ladder stand rail. With an intense stare down, the big buck felt safe and walked out to 70 yards, which gave Colwyn an opportunity to prop off the side rail of the latter and make a perfect shot. The deer ran 20 yards and fell over in the field. It was a very exciting and memorable hunt for Colwyn and his dad!
