Hunt Story

My dad and I drove the 4 wheeler down the field to where we park and made our short walk to our newly placed ladder stand. I was texting a friend about how slow hunting has been since morning when all of a sudden a deer showed up. It was not one buck but three different bucks. When the first deer got within 15 feet from us, I could see the second deer, and it was a big 8-pointer. Knowing that if I waited for the big one that there was a chance of the first one busting us and all three would be gone. That's when I decided to shoot the first one. My dad told me to clam down and take a deep breath, aim and shoot when I was ready. When I shot, the deer just dropped to the ground and the others ran off. We didn't get to see how big the last buck was. This was one of my most happiest days in my life.
