Hunt Story
We got in the stand about 4 in the evening and about 4:45 I noticed a doe coming into the food plot. I thought it was the mama and little one that we had seen on a different hunt, but when I saw the other deer in the woods, all I could see was his giant rack. I was already shaking from the doe, and when I saw the buck I didn't think I could ever shoot from being so excited. My dad was telling me to take a deep breath and try to relax, but there was no way I could. When I lifted my gun up, I hit the rail on the stand and the buck looked up at me. I remember my dad saying that when I have a shot to take it, that you may not get a second chance. Once I put the crosshairs on him I squeezed the trigger and the buck dropped right there in his tracks. This was the best day of my life.
