Hunt Story
We first saw this deer at roughly 400 yards around 5 pm that afternoon. Had to convince Cole that he was too far. Rattled to get his attention, and he walked in the woods. Or at least that was what Cole thought. It took him about 20 minutes, but he walked the edge of the field that we could not see and reappear at 168 yards. With light fading fast, I told Cole that he was going to have to take a shot. He wasn’t getting any closer. He made a perfect shot. He ran roughly 80 yards and piled up.
