Hunt Story

It was a cool and overcast day on November 25. There was a slight wind coming from the Northeast. I decided to go to one of my favorite stands that we have on our property. It’s 100 acres with some woods. It was getting closer to dark and I was hoping to see a deer. 5:36 rolled around and a 9-point I have never seen on camera come from the woods to my right about 70 yards. I grabbed my Ruger 270 and shot. The 9-pointer ran but didn’t seem hurt. So I decided to put another bullet in the chamber and shot again. Me my cousin and my grandpa started tracking the buck but jumped it from its bed around 6 o’clock and we decided to back out and give it some time. We went back to the last spot we were at and within a few hours we found the deer behind the property owner's house.
