Hunt Story
I missed this buck named “Buster” on the opening day of bow season this year. He disappeared after that and did not show back up until the beginning of November. He was very sporadic on camera, but November 21 he showed up mid-morning back in my food plot. I hunted him the next two days, and he showed up with only 6 minutes of light left on Thanksgiving evening. He came out straight downwind in a spot that I have never seen a buck come from on this property. He ran in to check a yearling doe. When he stopped I was able to squeeze a shot off. He ran about 50 yards into some thick stuff. My buddies came with me to help recover him. We loaded him up in the back of my Ford Excursion and rode him around to show him off just like we did the big buck, “Junior” that I took a couple of weeks ago. This has been my best year in Georgia ever.
