Hunt Story
With slightly cooler temperatures rolling in compared to previous weeks and living over an hour away from our property, we decided to make a last-minute run down to Harris County as we had this buck on camera the evening before in shooting light. The evening was uneventful as you could ask, and CJ was ready to go home at 7:30 PM, and I asked him to stick it out ten more minutes. Those minutes paid off as just a few minutes later, this buck walked in, quartering away at 27 yards, and CJ made a perfect shot. We watched him fall in the pines 80 yards out, and it was nothing but high fives and hugs at that point. This was his 5th deer to date, and he is hooked to say the least.
