Hunt Story
A good rain came the night before the hunt, and I knew the deer would move good in the morning. I got in the stand at 6:30 and waited for the sunrise to come up. I knew deer were in the area because my trail camera was going off and sending pictures to my phone. As daylight happens I could see a few images of what seemed to be does. I later noticed a smaller 10-point walk in but couldn’t tell. A few minutes later I saw a taller, thick-horned deer which looked like the one I had been going for. He walked away into the thick bushes and I’m thinking for sure he’s gone and my chance to pull the trigger is gone. He finally steps back into view, and I put the crosshairs in a high shoulder shot and dropped him right in his tracks about 45 yards away from my stand.
